Snoop Dogg, shown in April at the MTV Australia Music Video Awards in Sydney, was arrested Tuesday. Rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested Tuesday in Burbank, Calif., after leaving NBC Studios where he had taped a performance for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

Police said they are investigating Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, for illegally possessing a handgun and drugs.

Police seized a handgun, cocaine and marijuana after searching his home and car, said Sgt. Kevin Grandalski.
